Attunement

Phase 2 of the Harmony Model

In the Attunement phase of the Harmony Model, we take the newly rediscovered traits, core values and goals from the Discovery phase and begin to adjust life to include these pieces.

Here we identify thoughts and patterns of behavior that no longer serve your highest needs, modifying them so you can come into better alignment with who you are.

You’ll begin to build a new or re-energized sense of purpose and mission. We’ll help you outline what a fulfilling life will look like for you. This is where the rubber meets the road.

A Challenging
(but worthwhile)
Transformation

Attunement is a dual process that consists of daring new ventures and Kenosis, an emptying out of all that does not serve you any longer.

We won’t lie to you: this process is challenging, but in the end you’ll be victorious. You will experience a new peace and a sustaining joy that has been long overdue.

Be wary of any program offering painless, effortless transformation. Painless transformation doesn’t exist. Just ask the emerging butterfly who’s fighting to free itself from the chrysalis to become the beautiful butterfly it is meant to be.

This reminds us of the wisdom of the animated movie, the Lion King. In that movie, they depict the cycle of life: birth, life, death and rebirth. We each move through this cycle many times throughout our lifetimes. When we come into the world we are pure and perfect, but we enter into an imperfect world, and we instinctively begin the process of adaptation almost immediately.

 oooooooooooooooooooooo

The process of adaptation is beautiful, and one where we create masks to wear in order to have the safety, love, belonging and acceptance we need in the world. In the Attunement phase, you will identify masks you’ve worn

And unlike with many other approaches, we don’t have disdain for these old masks. Those parts of us came into existence to meet our most basic human needs. They need to be honored and respected for the great job they’ve done. An extraordinary future depends on updating these outdated parts of ourselves.

Learning to Remove Your Masks

Sarah is an NFer (Intuitive - Feeler) who grew up with an abusive father. He was domineering, verbally abusive and controlling.

In her attempt not to be devoured by her father, Sarah became rebellious, exerting power and control over every aspect of her life in order to maintain her boundaries, her right to exist, and her survival.

Fast-forward four decades, and she is the owner of a successful business that she runs with an iron fist. During a coaching session, she described herself as a dictator rather than a leader. Her employees do their duties out of fear of what would happen if they did not comply with her demands. The disgust she felt toward herself for being this way was palpable on our call.

As we explored the roots of this particular mask she wears, her understanding and awareness deepened. She began to soften toward herself, and we naturally began to identify core aspects of herself that she wants to embrace and put into action.

Sarah is a very sensitive, caring person by nature. Once upon a time, it was not safe for her to show these parts of herself. Now is a different time. It’s safer, and we’ve begun to carefully design behavioral experiments where she can be more authentically herself. This shows great courage on her part, as she is taking off a mask she’s worn for many years and shifting into being more like her natural self.

You can see the risks here, can’t you? And the payoffs?

Building a life of authenticity

For an NFer, there is no path other than to live authentically, with purpose and mission. Living any other way brings misery and discontent.

Not everyone is built like us. There may have been times you wished you were different, but in the end, this is the hand you’ve been dealt.

Make no mistake, you are built beautifully, and it takes great courage to live as your best self.

So in this phase of our model, you’re dealing with something old and something new. You’re looking at all the old masks you’ve worn, understanding why you needed those, and casting off the ones that no longer serve you. In the process, you are empowered to live a life without any mask other than the one you were brought into the world with.

Did we say this takes courage?

Courage is the virtue above all virtues and is the driver of personal transformation.

Moving toward congruence

But you’re not done yet! The final phase of the Harmony Model is Congruence.

See you in the next phase, Congruence.

NEXT PHASE:

Congruence

In this phase, you’ll learn how to effectively balance aspects of yourself and your life. NFers are built like high-end sports cars. They are beautiful and bursting with potential, but they get out of tune easily and require regular maintenance and care. When the sports car that is you is fine-tuned on a regular basis, it’s a sight to see in action!
